I'm a Senior Software Engineer with 7 years of experience building high-availability backend systems, currently on the Trading Systems team at OANDA, where I work on a global FX trading platform processing roughly 1.4M client orders a month. My work is primarily Python and C++, running on Kubernetes and GCP in a regulated, high-availability environment.
I started programming in high school with Pascal...yes, you read that right. I studied Geomatics at Czech Technical University in Prague, and moved into fintech in Canada in 2019.
I contributed occasionally to GNU Gama, an open-source geodetic computation project I worked on during my postgraduate studies. I was also a Women+ in Geospatial Steering committee member, where I ran the internal monthly newsletter and helped with the 2022 branding and website redesign. In 2021 I organised a geospatial writing competition and accompanying webinar as part of that endevour.
